3. How We Share Information

We share information with service providers that help us operate Soundstarter, including hosting, database, authentication, payment, payout, analytics, support, security, and email providers. We may also share information when required by law, to enforce our terms, to protect users, or during a business transfer.

Public profile, collection, project, round, and attribution information may be visible to other users or visitors when you choose to publish or participate in public platform activity.

4. Payments, Stripe, and Connect

Stripe processes payments, refunds, disputes, subscriptions, and payout onboarding. Stripe may collect and process payment method data, transaction data, identity verification data, tax data, bank account data, and fraud signals under its own policies.

Soundstarter does not store full card numbers. We store payment, checkout, subscription, refund, dispute, ledger, and payout records needed to operate the platform and reconcile funds.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, session continuity, preferences, diagnostics, and platform analytics. Browser settings may let you block some cookies, but authentication and payment flows may not work without required cookies.

6. Retention

We keep personal information as long as needed to provide Soundstarter, comply with legal, tax, accounting, audit, payment, dispute, fraud-prevention, and security obligations, and resolve disputes. Some payment, ledger, payout, refund, chargeback, and project-attribution records may need to be retained even after account deletion.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also opt out of marketing emails. Transactional account, billing, support, security, and legal notices may still be sent.

We do not currently sell personal information. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide required choices.

8. Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including managed authentication, row-level access controls, service-role separation, and Stripe-hosted payment collection. No internet service can guarantee perfect security.

9. Children

Soundstarter is not intended for children under 13. Do not use Soundstarter if you are under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
